Hello, my name is Neal Lukenbill and I have been a music teacher now for over a decade.  Making music is my passion and I believe sharing that gift with my students is a privilege. I work
hard to understand each and every one of my students; individual needs for growth and adopt each lesson plan to cater to those needs. I have taught all ages and people from all walks of life
and genuinely believe everyone has what it takes to play beautiful and passionate music.

I studied jazz and classical music at Millikin University back in my home state of Illinois. I have worked in several rock bands, led a few jazz combos and performed music all around the
Chicago and Milwaukee area. I have a home studio where I write, record and produce music with Ableton live 10. More recently I've been producing an audio drama that I score music for.
I look forward to meeting all students who come to me to learn and I can't wait to get you playing!

Gregory Hasson

Guitar, Bass Guitar

Samurai_Greg_04172018-10 (2)_edited.jpg

My name is Gregory Hasson and I have been teaching guitar around the valley for half of a decade now. As a teacher I really enjoy working towards what inspires my students musically, and accomplishing their individual goals involving the instrument and music. That being said, I enjoy using my experience with skills such as, learning songs, creating a practice routine, reading/music theory, ear training, improvising, and composition to provide my students with a strong musical foundation from which their own musical personality can blossom.

In addition to teaching music I also play at venues around the valley in various iterations of jazz bands. Drawing from my professional experience I get to pass on many of the lessons I’ve learned about professionalism, playing in a band, and musicianship for students who are interested.

I am a graduate from Arizona State University with a Bachelors of Music(Jazz Performance).

Scruggs Banjo, Clawhammer Banjo

D85_1823.jpeg

Growing up, I couldn’t pass an instrument without wanting to play it.  This led to studying the saxophone from middle school through college and picking up the guitar, organ, and voice training along the way.  But when a friend introduced me to the banjo ten years ago, it was love at first sight.  Since then, I’ve studied both Clawhammer and Scruggs style.  I play banjo locally with my band The Flatirons.

My goal as a teacher is to help new students understand the banjo, develop good technique, and progress to where they can enjoy performing and playing with others.

I have a minor in music from Brigham Young University.
