Cory Blake Trout

Cory is a professional musician with a Masters degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Theory and Composition. He has taught sixth grade band up to high school band and classes including: choir, orchestra, jazz band, mariachi, color guard, and music appreciation. Cory has written 6 half time shows (music) for Rincon High School and Tucson High School, both of Tucson. He also worked in conjunction with Disney to create a half time show for New Mexico State University in 1996.
Cory has played professionally for 29 years playing bass guitar, trombone, and trumpet for a variety of groups from Symphony Orchestras to Church Praise Bands, from Country Dance Bands to Steel Drum Bands. Cory has received numerous awards for music throughout the years and continues to enjoy writing, arranging, and playing all types of music. Cory has taught private lessons for over 25 years in Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Tuba, Baritone, Euphonium, Sax, Clarinet, Flute, and Bass Guitar.
Cory enjoys spending time with his family, sports, camping, riding quads and motorcycles, and reading. He attends Central Christian Church of the East Valley with his wife Eileen and six children. |

Bryon Ruth
Sax, Flute, Clarinet

Bryon has
been teaching at Linton-Milano Music since 1988. He has a Bachelor
of Arts in Music from the University of Northern Iowa, and an
Masters in Saxophone performance from Arizona State University.
He has experience with a diverse student group- elementary through
high school. He has also taught college level music theory, music
history, and music (jazz) performance.
Bryon has
an extensive performance background which includes: Four Tops,
Rosemary Clooney, Glenn Campbell, Tony Bennett, Smokey Robinson,
Phoenix Symphony, Toni Tenelle, Doc Severenson, Bob Newhart, The
Temptations, and Johnny Mathis. |

Chris Soll
Piano, Flute, Theory

Chris has
been teaching at Linton-Milano Music since 1991 and maintains
over 70 weekly students of all ages and levels. She has been playing
music for over 30 years and she has a Master of Music - Theory
and Composition, from ASU and a Bachelor of Science in Music -
Scoring & Arranging, from the University of Colorado at Denver.
She graduated with honors from CU Denver and was nominated as
a member of the National Music Honor Society, Pi Kappa Lambda,
while at ASU.
Chris holds
two recitals per year and encourages students to participate in
Linton-Milano Music's Annual Awards Music Festival. Her goal is
to teach students to become "musically literate" so
that they understand theory, technique, and musical interpretation
and are, ultimately, able to read music fluently and expressively.
Several of her students have gone on to become professional music
teachers themselves.
In addition
to teaching, Chris plays professionally at church and private
engagements. |

Paul Mueller
Trumpet

Originally from Detroit, Paul Mueller received his Bachelor of Music degree from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids Michigan. While studying at Grand Valley, Mueller was a semi-finalist at numerous national trumpet competitions and as a member of Grand Valley’s trumpet ensemble he placed first in the National Trumpet Competition in 2006.
Mueller received his Masters degree at Kansas State University, where he taught private lessons, high brass techniques, and performed regularly with the Kansas State Faculty Brass Quintet.
Mueller has performed concerts across the world, premiering new works in Greece, Thailand, England and France. His most recent tour in England included a collaboration concert with James Watson and the Royal Academy of Music trumpet players.
Mueller is currently a doctoral student in the studio of David Hickman at Arizona State University. His teachers include Kevin Good, Richard Stoelzel, and Gary Mortenson. |

Emily Williams
Voice, Piano, Flute, Guitar

Emily Williams has a Bachelor’s of Music Degree in Vocal performance from Arizona State University and a Master’s of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from Brigham Young University. Performance credits include Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus, Miss Todd in The Old Maid and the Thief and The Duchess in The Gondoliers.
She has been teaching voice lessons since 2002 and more recently has begun teaching piano and guitar students.
Emily enjoys teaching healthy vocal techniques in any style (classical, jazz, pop, musical theatre) and loves helping students of all ages progress with their vocal goals. She hopes all of her students learn to enjoy and appreciate music as she has. |

Mark Peotter

With his college education from California State University, Northridge, Mark Peotter intended to be a public school music teacher. That changed when he discovered his passion was for live performances and recordings.
Mark received Private Lessons and Attended Master Classes from:
Joe Pass, jazz guitar legend; Bob Thomas, first Alto Sax for Tommy Dorsey and Paul Whiteman Orchestra; Justo Almario, sax player, Christian Rock genre; Alex Acuna, drums and percussionist; Weather Report and more.
Mark moved to the Phoenix area in 1994 and has been performing ever since at many Golf Resorts and Community Theaters. He is comfortable with most styles, and writes and arranges music for modern Christian genre. In 2008 he toured South Korea with the Dina Preston Band for the US Army.
Mark has been giving private lessons at Linton Milano’s since 1994. He teaches Sax, Flute, Clarinet, Guitar, Electric Bass, and Jazz Improvisation / Harmony.

Adam Akers
Guitar, Saxophones, Bass Guitar

Adam started his musical ventures young. At age 8 he started playing piano which made it much easier to pick up more instruments as he discovered them. At age 10 he started playing Alto Saxophone and taking private lessons from no greater place than Linton Milano Music. He would soon learn the other saxophones, namely soprano and tenor, and then would come guitar. When Adam was 13 he tuned his first guitar and started taking classes.
Since then, Adam has played in bands varying from jazz to rock. He has played in numerous places around the valley in the bands, Dirt Brown Earth, and So Long You Crane. He is now 23, attending ASU, and keeping music very much part of his life. Since music is what he enjoys most, in order to share that love, he started teaching a little less than 2 years ago, helping students begin there journeys in music. He teaches guitar and saxophone while still practicing and performing with his current band Johnnie Casio. He understands the importance of technique, but also of improvisation, and performance. He encourages participation in recitals and works with students to learn songs they want to perform. He tries to create a comfortable and fun environment that students look forward to each week! He teaches Saxophones, Guitar, and Bass Guitar. |
