Unique Heintzman Soundboard design and back posts The soundboard on Heintzman pianos has high quality ribs notched to its edge and the unique Heintzman Accousta Bars help to eliminate undesirable overtones and allow longer sustain. The six back post structures are made of beech wood on most upright models. These are designed to increase the piano's stability.

German Delignit Pinblock It is important that the pinblock has the capacity to hold the tuning pins tight enough by friction alone, so that all the strings are maintained at the right tension without unwinding, but still allow the piano to be tuned. To do this Heintzman has employed the very dense, hard material of beech or maple pinblock, made by the European brand - Delignit. Seventeen ply is used in the uprights and nineteen ply in the grands.
